I got my start in medicine wayyyyy back in the day. I entered one of the most demanding and family-unfriendly fields, trauma surgery.
Over the past decade and a half, I trained, specialized, and became a double-board-certified trauma surgeon while raising six children.
On paper, I was the picture of success.
In reality, I was burning out…hard.
For years, I did what every high-achieving woman is taught to do:
work harder, prove yourself, say yes to everything, wait to be given flexibility, pretend you can handle it all.
But burnout doesn’t care how accomplished you are.
It doesn’t care how much you’ve sacrificed.

It took me right to the edge.
So close I almost walked away from the career I spent 15 years building.
That was my turning point.
I went deep into the science of burnout.

Then I created the burnout recovery system that allowed me to work half the month as a trauma surgeon, get paid a full-time salary, and still show up fully for my six children.
